Delete Your Account

You can delete your Najah Study account at any time. We give you two ways to do it, both verified with a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered email or phone number.

Option 1 — Delete from the mobile app (recommended)

  1. Open the Najah Study app on iOS or Android.
  2. Sign in if you're signed out, then go to Profile → Delete Account.
  3. Review the consequences and tap Continue.
  4. Choose whether to receive the verification OTP on your email or phone.
  5. Enter the 6-digit OTP. Your account and personal data will be deleted immediately.

The same flow is available in the web app at app.najahstudy.in → Profile → Delete Account.

Option 2 — Email us

If you can't access the app for any reason, write to info@najahstudy.in from your registered email address with the subject “Delete my account”. Include:

  • Your registered email address or phone number
  • The name you used to sign up (if you remember)

We'll reply within 24 hours on business days to confirm your identity and process the deletion within 7 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • Your profile photo, goal, grade, and board preferences
  • Your saved notes, doubts, and bookmarks
  • Your password (so you cannot sign in again)
  • All active sessions on every device (you'll be signed out everywhere)

What may be retained, and why

To comply with our legal obligations (Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and to keep our service operating safely, a small amount of data may be retained after deletion:

  • Anonymous, aggregated analytics — e.g. “how many users completed a quiz this week”. These records do not identify you.
  • Transactional and audit logs — kept for the period required by law, then deleted.
  • Payment records (where applicable) — kept for the period required by tax and accounting regulations.

Timeline

  • Immediate: your account is deactivated, your personal information is scrambled, and all sessions are signed out.
  • Within 7 days: we acknowledge your request and complete the primary deletion.
  • Within 30 days: any remaining backup copies and operational caches are purged.

Can I undo this?

No. Account deletion is permanent. If you change your mind later, you can sign up for a new account at any time, but your previous progress, notes, and analytics cannot be restored.
